Piotr Koscik was born in Rzeszow (Poland), where he made his first steps as a pianist at the age of seven in the class of professor Zanna Parchomowska. In 2014, he graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, having studied there under notable Prof. Oleg Maisenberg. Recently, Piotr completed a post-graduate course at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence with world-renowned Prof. Eliso Virsaladze. He also received further artistic inspiration taking part in masterclasses worldwide with such prominent pianists as Dang Thai Son, Matti Raekallio and Michel Béroff. Already during his studies in Vienna Piotr has been recognized for his insightful interpretations of Chopin's music and became the youngest board member of the International Chopin Society in Vienna.


In 2019 Piotr debuted in China playing a recital at the opening concert of the International Chopin Festival in Guangzhou. Shortly after his performance in famous Xinghai Concerthall, the Polish pianist played at two other Chopin Festivals — in Austrian Kartause Gaming and at 'Išskirtinai Šopenas' in the capital city of Lithuania — Vilnius. Piotr's first solo CD with a selection of piano pieces by F. Chopin and F. Liszt has been released by the Austrian label Redpmusic. In 2020 the same label produced his second album 'Fermata', which has been recorded in Lisztzentrum Raiding and comprises piano sonatas of J. Haydn and W. Mozart.

Piotr Koscik is a laureate of numerous international piano competitions including 'The International Competition for Young Musicians' in Enschede where he obtained 2nd prize and 'The Special Prize of The Netherlands Symphony Orchestra' — featuring a national tour with the Orchestra. He has received first prize and special prize for best performance of classical sonata at the '25th Klavierpodium der Jugend' in Munich. Furthermore, he has been awarded at the International Silesia Piano Competition in Zabrze and International Music Competition in Osaka. Piotr Koscik has been recipient of several awards and scholarships, for instance 'Young Talents' award, Scholarship of the Prime Minister of Poland', the German 'Maschmann Foundation' award, the Austrian 'Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Scholarship' and the American GP&P Trust Scholarship.
In addition to his collaboration with the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra he has also performed with such distinguished orchestras as Radio Symphony Orchestra Bratislava, National Kosovo Symphony Orchestra, Polish South Carpathian Philharmonic Orchestra of Rzeszow, Symphony Orchestra of Zabrze and Romanian Symphony Orchestra of Székelyföldi.
Piotr Koscik performed extensively in most European countries and China, in a range of renowned concert venues such as the Gasteig in Munich, Radiokulturhaus in Vienna, Palais du Monaco in Paris, Xinghai Concerthall in Guangzhou, Kolarac in Belgrade, Red Hall in Pristina, De Spiegel in Zwolle, Nationaal Muziekkwartier in Enschede, Steinway Haus in Munich or the Artur Rubinstein and Philharmony in Lodz. He has appeared in many prestigious festivals including 'Palermo Classica', 'International Chopin Festival' in Kartause Gaming, 'Chopiniade' in Frankfurt am Main, Piano Fest' in Prishtina, "The International Chopin Festival in Guanghzou", VI Festivalis “KALĖDINIS VILNIUS", 'Muzyka na poziomie' in Zabrze and others. In response to one of his Chopin recitals, the Frankfurter Rundschau proclaimed: 'His astute and thoughtful interpretations were bereft of any technical trickery or deceitful effect-creation'.
