Piotr Koscik is a Polish conductor and pianist based in Vienna, widely recognized for his sensitive musical leadership, clear artistic vision, and ability to inspire orchestras. Piotr is the laureate of the 1st Prize at the Conducting Masterclass and Competition in Athens in 2026. He began his international career as a pianist, winning the 2nd Prize at the International Piano Competition in Enschede, along with the "Netherlands Symphony Orchestra Prize"

As a soloist and in collaboration with various orchestras, he has performed across Europe and in China. In recent years, his artistic focus has increasingly shifted toward conducting. He completed his conducting studies at the Zurich University of the Arts under Prof. Iwan Wassilevski and Prof. Christoph Mathias Müller, and refined his skills in masterclasses with Johannes Schläfli, Jorma Panula, Nicolas Pasquet, Lawrence Foster, Douglas Bostock, Luciano Acocella, Michalis Economou, Colin Metters, Martin Akerwall, and other distinguished mentors.

Koscik has worked with a wide range of professional ensembles, including the SilesianPhilharmonic Katowice, Podkarpacka Philharmonic Rzeszow, Zabrze Philharmonic, Janackova filharmonie Ostrava, Performart Orchestra Murcia, Sinfonietta Berlin, Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim, Orchestra Sinfonica d’Este Ferrara, Filarmonica “Paul Constantinescu” Ploiesti, Filarmonica de Stat Oradea, Belgrade Chamber Orchestra, State Opera Ruse, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra Bratislava, Filharmonia e Kosovés Pristina, and Szekelyföldi Filharmönia. In the upcoming artistic season, Piotr will make his debut with the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra. 

As a pianist, he graduated in 2014 from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the class of Prof. Oleg Maisenberg, followed by postgraduate studies in Florence with Prof. Eliso Virsaladze. He received awards at piano competitions in Enschede, Munich, Linz, and Zabrze as well as the Scholarship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. Piotr has worked with mentors such as Dang Thai Son, Matti Raekallio, Michel Béroff and currently leads piano and chamber music masterclasses in Gutenstein, Austria. He has released two CDs featuring works by Chopin, Liszt, Mozart, and Haydn, and has served as a board member of the International Chopin Society in Vienna since 2010.
